Kids get active and get reading this summer

Orkney Library and Archive is on its marks and getting set to keep young people active and keep them reading throughout the summer holidays….with the Summer Reading Challenge™.

The Summer Reading Challenge™ is simple - read six library books during the summer and you will receive a certificate and medal. There will be competitions along the way and the challenge has a special website which you can access in the library. You can sign up for Team Read from Monday 30th June at Kirkwall, Stromness or on the Mobiles, and it will run throughout the summer holidays.

Visit the Team Read website to enjoy games, blogs, activities, jokes, quizzes and reading ideas that will make your summer fly by.
