New fiction sets - now available for loan

Our aim is to deliver a first-class service to teachers and pupils by providing a great range of resources to support the school curriculum. We also aim to provide quality reading materials to motivate children to read and learn for pleasure. Teachers can:

 

• Borrow from the general Lending Service on a special Teacher's Membership card.

• Borrow from the Mobile Library Service - the children love to come on board to choose their own books.

 

In addition, we are delighted to offer a range of other activities to support you in your work. We look forward to being of service.

 

Museum Loan Boxes

The library now holds the museum loans boxes.  Boxes contain museum artifacts, clothing, books and photographs, and can be borrowed on your teacher’s card. They are issued for the whole term and you can book ahead if there is a box you know you will need later in the year. Choose from the following titles:

 

Childhood
Do you remember the 50’s
Domestic Life
Farming
Grand houses of Orkney
Trade craft & industries
Victorians (2 boxes)
Vikings (2 boxes)
World War II
