The event is FREE so come along to the MacGillivray Room at 7pm.8 September 2018Ann Cleeves - KirkwallAnn is returning to Orkney Library & Archive to celebrate the launch of her new novel Wild Fire - the last book in her popular Shetland series. Join us for a Coffee Morning in the MacGillivray Room from 10.30am where Ann will discuss her writing with us while we all have tea and cake. A selection of Ann’s books will also be available for sale. Tickets for this event are £3 and spaces are limited so please get in touch to reserve a place.17 September 2018Stromness Book Group - StromnessStromness Book Groupis a general reading group which reads a range of fiction and non-fiction. The group meets in the Warehouse Buildings in Stromness at 5.30pm. Find out more on our Book Club pageNovember 2018Hurricane Book Club - KirkwallHurricane Book Club is an online book group that was launched in 2016 as a collaboration between Orkney Library and the publisher Pan MacMillan and it has now grown to include a small group of Scottish libraries. We’re looking forward to the launch of Season 4 of Hurricane Book Club in November 2018. The group meets in the Carnegie Room at 6pm and everyone is welcome to come along and join in or to participate on the Hurricane Book Club Twitter page using the hashtag #HurricaneBookClub.
