Other forthcoming events are:  28 June 2018 Hurricane Book Club - Kirkwall Hurricane Book Club is an online book group that was launched in 2016 as a collaboration between Orkney Library and the publisher Pan MacMillan and it has now grown to include a small group of Scottish libraries. The group meets in the Carnegie Room at 6pm and everyone is welcome to come along and join in or to participate on the Hurricane Book Club Twitter page using the hashtag #HurricaneBookClub. Find out more on our Book Club page. 30 June 2018 Saturday Slaughters Book Club - Kirkwall Saturday Slaughters Book Club is our regular library reading group for crime fiction. The group meets in the Carnegie Room at 2.30pm. Find out more on our Book Club page. 1 September 2018 Saturday Book Club - Kirkwall Saturday Book Club is taking a break for the summer but will be back in September. The group reads a wide selection of fiction and non-fiction. Find out more on our Book Club page. 17 September 2018 Stromness Book Group - Stromness Stromness Book Group is a general reading group which reads a range of fiction and non-fiction. The group meets in the Warehouse Buildings in Stromness at 5.30pm. Find out more on our Book Club page
